Trio Rêverie
The Rêverie trio comprises young, foreign and domestic award-winning musicians. Pianist Tanja Činč and violinist Mojca Jerman are 3rd year students of the Ljubljana Music Academy, while cellist Katarina Leskovar is a 2nd year student of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. The trio has been active from the autumn of 2012 under the guidance of the chamber class professor, Tomaž Lorenz. With enthusiasm and dedication they have managed since then to master a series of important works by L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert, F Mendelssohn, A. Arensky, S. Rachmaninoff and D. Shostakovich.
They appeared in April 2013 in a stand-alone concert in the Red chamber of the Ljubljana City Hall as part of the Imago Sloveniae project. This was dedicated to Primož Lorenz, while in August they performed another stand-alone concert as part of the “Young Talents” cycle at the Dobrna resort.
In July 2013 the trio took part in the International Chamber Groups competition at Bled, Slovenia, and won 2nd place and 3rd prize respectively in the categories. They were the only Slovenian group participating.
In December 2013 the trio attended the International Tartini Competition in Piran, and took 1st. prize overall among chamber groups. A great local success!
