Leonel Morales Herrero

His teachers Nuria Belando and Javier Gómez Dólera have been students of Maestro Leonel Morales. He studies at the Conservatory of Music of Castellón-Spain under the direction of his father and teacher Leonel Morales.

In the past edition of the Parnassós International Piano Competition 2014 – México-Monterrey, he obtained 2 Prizes: “The Grand Honour Prize” and “Prize  to the best Interpretation of Impressionistic Music”.

In a short space of time, he obtained the highest awards in three Piano contests celebrated in Valencia-Spain: International Competition Ciutat de Llíria, Ciutat de Carlet and Gabriel Teruel Machí of Benimodo.

Leonel obtained first prize in the following competitions; "Marisa Montiel" (Jaen - Linares 2013), the special prize for musicality (Xativa Valencia 2012), the International Piano Competition (Santa Cecilia 2010 Segovia), the International Piano Competition Anton Garcia Abril (Teruel 2009) and the Hazen Competition (Madrid 2009). He was awarded second prize in the Clavi Cologne Aachen competition (Germany 2015), the Infanta Cristina Piano Competition (Madrid 2012) and the Gina Bachauer International piano competition (USA 2012). He was awarded third prize at the Scriabin Piano Competition (Italy 2014) and Frechilla Zuloaga (2013 Valladloid, Spain). Finally he represented Spain at the International Steinway Piano Festival of Hamburg.
