Katja Porovne

Katja Porovne  has performed in many concerts at home and abroad, as a soloist as well as a part of different chamber orchestras, winning awards and reaching high places various competitions.

She took part in the recording of the „Hmnus Carniolius“ CD, which was part of the slovenian students of music in Vienna project named „Vienna from Us to You“ in 1999. She also recorded two discs as a duo with prof. Grafenauer. The first was in 2000, with pieces by F. Sora and J.K. Mertz and the second in 2001 with compositions by Strajnar, Stanič, Šavli, Pierre-Petit and Castelnuovo-Tedesco.

She presently teaches guitar at the Ljubljana Ballet and Music Conservatorium and at the Ljubljana Music Academy.
