Domen Lorenz, violin
Domen Lorenz, violinist and prize-winner, started learning the violin at the age of five. After passing the entrance exam, he continued his education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in the class of Prof. Dora Schwarzberg. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under Prof. Primož Novšak and Prof. Gorjan Košuta. As a soloist, he has appeared several times with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTV Symphony Orchestra, the Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra, the Ljubljana Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the String Orchestra of the Academy of Music, Camerata Labacensis, the Celje String Orchestra and the Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra of the Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra. Domen has been a permanent member of the Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra since the 2014/2015 season.
Bernardo Brizani, cello
Bernardo Brizani comes from a musical family. He started playing the cello at the age of five. In 2008, immediately after finishing primary school, he enrolled at the Academy of Music under Prof. Igor Škerjanec and completed his studies in 2012. He continued his Master studies in Stuttgart with Prof. Claudio Bohorquez and in Detmold with Prof. Ksenija Janković. Bernardo won the student Prešeren Prize for his performance of Antonin Dvořák’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in B minor and Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei for cello and orchestra accompanied by the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. From 2018 to 2020 he was an Academician with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.
